In this public talk researchers from the University of Tasmania School of Education and the Media & Communication Program, alongside a leading UK sociolinguist will discuss findings from their current comparative analysis into media representation of gender in teaching.

  • Arriving at the Hedberg
    Please arrive between 10.30am - 10.45am via the University of Tasmania entrance to The Hedberg at 19 Collins Street Hobart. Make your way to Level 4 to the Vanessa Goodwin Room
  • Accessible Facilities
    The Vanessa Goodwin Room is located on Level 4 of the Hedberg building, with lift access from the Level 1 entrance.

  • Mask requirements
    Mask wearing is an individual choice, however UTAS strongly recommends that masks be worn in indoor settings, particularly where physical distancing cannot be maintained.
