Theatre Royal Membership is designed to suit theatre lovers who attend several shows throughout the year but aren’t ready to plan and purchase in advance.

• Annual Membership fee of $40 
• Memberships run from January to December 2026 
• 20% discount for all TR Subscription Season shows 
• 10% discount for all TR+ shows 
• 10% discount for food and drinks at our bars* 
• Discount applies to all tickets in your booking when using the 'TR member' price type. 
• All seat categories are available, for all shows 
• Receive an invite to the 2027 Season Launch

• Members will automatically be entered into a once-a-month lottery to win a double pass to a Theatre Royal 2026 Season show of your choice in the Theatre Royal or Studio Theatre. T&Cs apply. 
• Invitations to special events e.g. artist talks, Meet the Company events, Meet the Maker Wine tasting events 

Extra Member Benefits  We’re delighted to offer a range of benefits for Theatre Royal Members in association with our hospitality partners the award-winning McHenry Distillery and Tasmanian Wine Centre, a Tasmanian owned and operated wine retail business, representing a number of well-known Tasmanian and interstate wines and spirits such as Holm Oak, Joseph Chromy, d’Arenberg and Tyrrells to name a few. 

Member benefits include: 

• 10% discount on products purchased at the McHenry Distillery cellar door (activated by your Theatre Royal loyalty card). 
• 10% discount on alcohol ordered online through the Tasmanian Wine Centre (activated with a special discount code that will be emailed to all subscribers). 

Buying your 2026 membership 

Use the link below to log in to your Theatre Royal account or create a new account. You'll then be taken to the page where you can purchase your membership.    When you have purchased your membership, any time you want to book tickets for a Theatre Royal Subscription Season 2026 show, you will need to log into your account so you can access discounted tickets via the TR Member ticket price.

Student Memberships   

We’re pleased to offer a Student Membership for full-time secondary, pre-tertiary and university students.  

The deal: 

• $30 tickets to all Theatre Royal Subscription Season shows  
• No joining fee  
• All seat categories are available, for all shows  
• One student ticket per Season show 
• Purchase additional tickets for friends at standard prices 

Apply for your student membership here. Once completed, you’ll receive an email to let you know your membership has been activated and is ready to use. 

Please note: Memberships are valid for the year of the season that is currently active at the point of purchase, and must be renewed for each subsequent season thereafter.   

Loyalty Cards  

By purchasing a Membership, you will receive a loyalty card loaded with your discount or complimentary drinks to use at our Theatre Bars. Loyalty cards are available either digitally or physically.  

Simply scan your card for the bar staff, and your relevant discount will be applied.  

* Loyalty card discounts exclude merchandise, programs, special promotions and pre-purchases, wine by the bottle, extra show offerings, or tab settlements. 

If you require a replacement card, please contact the Box Office.  

Student Memberships do not receive Loyalty Cards as a part of the membership benefits.
