Business Development Manager

The Theatre Royal is looking for a Business Development Manager to look after our supporters and develop new partners for the great work we do. We need a creative and dynamic person, who is able to communicate with people from a diverse range of backgrounds, with a wide range of expectations.  

You will have great attention to detail, the ability to research and analyse data, and maintain relationship management systems. You will have experience growing support, identifying business opportunities and diversifying income sources for cultural or not-for-profit organisations. 

The Theatre Royal is a growing business. In addition to our beautiful heritage theatre, we now operate a Studio Theatre in The Hedberg, a new state-of-the-art facility in the heart of Hobart. Along with our physical footprint, the range of programs and activities we deliver are also expanding, as we look to improve access to the theatre, reaching new audiences and supporting the development of artists. 

This is an exciting period of growth and transformation for the Theatre Royal, and for arts and culture in Tasmania.

Venue and Events Coordinator

The Theatre Royal is looking for a Venue & Events Coordinator to manage our relationships with program partners, venue hirers and stakeholders. You will ideally have venue and event management experience, including an understanding of the requirements for delivering a range of arts and cultural events. You will definitely be an excellent communicator, have a passion for systems and procedures, and possess exquisite attention to detail. 

The Theatre Royal is a growing business. In addition to our beautiful heritage theatre, we now operate a Studio Theatre, and manage external events presented across all venues in The Hedberg, a new state-of-the-art facility in the heart of Hobart.  

This is a critical new role that will ensure we achieve our ambition of presenting a high-quality performing arts program, support a broad range of community and commercial cultural producers, and reach new audiences. 

This is an exciting period of growth and transformation for the Theatre Royal, and for arts and culture in Tasmania.

Marketing Coordinator

Join our Marketing Team at Theatre Royal.

We’re looking for a Marketing Coordinator to join our growing team to support the promotion of the Theatre Royal and our annual program. In addition to our beautiful heritage theatre, the Theatre Royal now operates a Studio Theatre in The Hedberg, a new state-of-the-art facility in the centre of Hobart. It’s an exciting time for our growing arts and cultural sector in Tasmania. All applicants will have a proven record of strong copy writing skills and working in a marketing role previously.

There are a range of different casual staff roles here at the Theatre Royal from working with the Box Office, Front of House and Production teams.  Working with our team is fun and exciting as we work with national leaders in the field in a dynamic and ever-changing environment.
