Nobel Laureate Professor Brian Schmidt and composer Constantine Koukias converse on the discovery that inspired VAST.

Constantine Koukias created the immersive international soundwork, premiering in Beaker Street Festival at Hobart’s Theatre Royal, to translate the discovery of dark energy and the expanding universe into a 360-degree sound experience.

Listen in on a conversation between Constantine and Professor Brian Schmidt, whose Nobel Prize winning research directly inspired the work, as they explore the science, ideas, and creative process behind VAST. The session will also include demonstrations of elements of the innovative spatial audio technology used in the production.
