Doesn’t summer come around fast? And moving just as fast is the cast of Big Monkey’s latest production: Waltzing Matilda – The Tale of a Dancing Sheep. The company is celebrating 25 years of producing quality family theatre. With all the usual singing, dancing and tumbling fun, Big Monkey is pleased to deliver this timely tale of triumph over adversity set in Cooee Creek, deep in the Australian bush.

Just to put you in the picture, Matilda is no ordinary sheep; she loves adventure, travel and more than anything she loves to dance! When she rocks into Cooee Creek, she finds the local animals are in a desperate state – drought has hit hard and they’re almost out of water.

Matilda has some fresh ideas and lots of energy but Crow and Brown Snake slide onto the scene and throw a spanner in the works. Will Matilda save the day? Come and find out when you see this delightful, truly Australian bush adventure set in the ever-glorious Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens.
