The History and Future of Blak Theatre in Lutruwita Tasmania

The Hedberg Talks
Ian Potter Recital Hall at The Hedberg

We invite you to join us for an engaging discussion centred around the rich history and promising future of Blak Theatre in Lutruwita/Tasmania.

The history of Blak Theatre in Australia stretches all the way back to 1920's. Where do Tasmania's First Nations creators of theatre feature amongst this?

Who were these past theatremakers and how are they influencing today’s First Nations artists to create all-encompassing, world changing stories for the stage?

Join us for this panel talk with practitioners Jim Everett - puralia meenamatta, Sinsa Mansell, Nathan Maynard and Jordy Gregg. Facilitated by the renowned Australian playwright and The Sunshine Club's Director Wesley Enoch.
