WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN YOU COME TO THE THEATRE ROYAL

SUMMARY
All upcoming performances at the Theatre Royal are held in accordance with the directions of Public Health Services Tasmania. All performances will include precautions such as collection of contact tracing details for every ticket holder, hand sanitisation stations at entrances, increased cleaning of public spaces and staff training in COVID safe procedures.

The Theatre Royal's current capacity is 100%.

The below measures and precautions are currently in place, including: 
•    QR code check-in via the Check In Tas app 
•    Wearing face masks is not mandatory however encouraged.
•    Providing hand sanitising stations 
•    Preference for digital tickets displayed on mobile devices 
•    Preference for cashless payments 
•    Cleaning between all performances and events 
•    Our staff are double vaccinated and will continue to wear face masks.

CONTACT TRACING
Each visitor to the Theatre Royal will also be required to register your contact details for all guests in your party for contract tracing. You can register digitally by using our secure QR codes at convenient locations around the entrances.

FACE MASKS
Masks will be available upon entering the venue for all patrons who require one. Wearing of masks is not mandatory however encouraged.

BOX OFFICE AND BOOKING TICKETS
Our Box Office is open Monday to Friday 10am to 4pm for in-person bookings and 9am to 5pm for telephone and email.
We would appreciate payments by card wherever possible to avoid handling of cash.
Physical distancing markers at queuing areas, such as bars and Box Office, are in place.
E-tickets or Print at home (PDF emailed) tickets are the preferred delivery method of your tickets. Please show your tickets on your phone when entering the theatre.
Online bookings will remain 24/7.
 
IF YOU OR A GUEST FEELS UNWELL
If you or a guest feel unwell or display any COVID 19 symptoms prior to a performance, you must not come to the theatre. In this event you would be offered the option to exchange for another performance, exchange for a voucher to be a spent at another time or a full refund. Please note that we require this request prior to the performance that you are unable to attend, not after.
Hand sanitisers are located at entrances around the venue as well as at Box Office, bars and the toilets. 
 
FOYERS AND BARS
There are bars located on every level of the Theatre Royal. Please proceed to your level as per your ticket to purchase a beverage and enjoy your night.
 
SEATING
To assist in managing congestion and social distancing in our foyers, we suggest that patrons return to their seats with food and beverage purchases.

Ushers will direct you to your assigned seat and we will ensure that your safety is of the utmost importance.
 
CLEANING
Cleaning has been increased, depending on the activity within the theatre. Automatic and manual hand sanitisers are available in many locations in the foyers, bathrooms and surrounding areas as well as signage to remind patrons to stay safe and hygienic.
Cleaning has been increased across all area including back of house for artists.
