About the Theatre Royal

Opening in 1837, Hobart’s Theatre Royal has been the home of contemporary theatre in Tasmania for more than 180 years and is Australia’s oldest working theatre. This heritage treasure occupies an important place in the hearts of Tasmanians and many visitors to Hobart.

Finance Officer

The Theatre Royal is looking for a part time Finance Officer for 30 hours per week to join our dynamic and exciting work place.

There are a range of different casual staff roles here at the Theatre Royal from working with the Box Office, Front of House and Production teams.  Working with our team is fun and exciting as we work with national leaders in the field in a dynamic and everchanging environment.


We are seeking expressions of interest for the below roles and all expressions of interest will be reviewed when a position is available.

· Box Office Attendant

· Front of House Manager

· Front of House Attendant:    Usher, Bar Staff

· Technical Crew:  Audio, Lighting, Sound, Staging, Rigging, Vision
