Grug is an adventurous little chap – the top of a Burrawang tree who didn’t let a fall hold him back. Dismounted from his perch, Grug finds a fascinating world at ground level. Resembling a small, striped haystack, he has to navigate the world his own way, finding creative solutions as hurdles appear.

Cabbage eating snails are no match for Grug’s ingenuity. His solution is to plant more cabbages, making sure there’s enough veggies to go round for everyone. On his journeys, Grug makes plenty of new friends too, from a carpet snake to an echidna.

Based on Ted Prior's beloved book series, Grug is a perfect entry point for first time theatre goers, or for seasoned theatre loving families. From the team that brought you Beep and Mort on ABC TV, Windmill Theatre Company’s charming, award-winning puppetry has seen the little tree-top-who-can perform to more than 50,000 children and families around the world.

Who would have thought so much fun would come from the top of a Burrawang tree?
