tunapri nipaluna is a weekend of First Nations culture and knowledge sharing in nipaluna/ Hobart, showcasing a range of incredible artists and cultural leaders from Tasmania and around the country.

Over four days we bring you a range of moving and powerful events and experiences, dance, music, film, exhibitions, a talk and walking tour.

Bangarra Dance Theatre brings us the epic Wudjang: Not the Past, Stephen Page's most personal work as artistic director of this world-renowned company.

Nunami Sculthorpe-Green's takara nipaluna is a walking tour that will transform your understanding of nipaluna / Hobart.

Our friends at the Tasmanian Conservatorium of Music present a showcase of First Nations singing and song writing, while the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery is offering guided tours of its ningina tunapri gallery.

And to finish off the weekend, two of our country's most respected cultural leaders will share their perspectives on the past, present and future of First Nations arts and culture.

palawa kani has been used in consultation with the Tasmanian Aboriginal Centre.

The Theatre Royal acknowledges the traditional and original owners of the land on which we work and meet, the muwinina people of nipaluna/Hobart, and all palawa peoples of lutruwita/Tasmania. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging, and thank them for their custodianship of this unceded land.
